Step inside the world of Waltzing the Wilarra, a powerful, entertaining and music-filled night of nostalgia at Redland Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, October 11.

From the producers of the national tours of The Sapphires and The Sunshine Club, Waltzing the Wilara, the Australian musical play was written and composed by David Milroy.

In 1940s Perth, under the shadow of curfews and the threat of arrest, three friends invite you into their secret club — where black and white communities gather, music fills the air, and love dares to cross boundaries.

Decades later, as their beloved club faces demolition, the friends return for one final night of protest and song. Long-buried secrets surface, and they are reminded that reconciliation is more than just words.

The vibrant must-see production features a cast of 8, including Lorinda May Merrypor (& Juliet), Shaka Cook (Hamilton) and Lisa Maza (Stingers), with a sensational live band on stage.

“A landmark production.” – The Sunday Times
“A highly evocative musical tale of love, jealousy, friendship and family. It is a beautiful, heartfelt production about love and loss.” – Australian Stage
Tickets for this “gutsy, entertaining and humorous” production (The Australian) start from just $25!
