Recovered Futures Art Exhibition

Updated: Sep 28, 2025
The Recovered Futures Art Exhibition returns to King George Square from 3-8 October, celebrating Queensland Mental Health Week and sparking life-changing conversations.
Now in its 34th year, the huge free exhibition will showcase more than 300 works by 217 artists with lived experience of mental health challenges.

More than a diverse collection of paintings, drawings, mixed-media creations and sculptures, this exhibition is a powerful story-telling event where artists courageously share the most raw and vulnerable parts of themselves. By forging authentic connections, the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition helps people feel less alone.

This year, Natasha Zraikat will be painting live onstage as the Artist in Residence. While bringing an original creation to life over six days, Natasha is looking forward to connecting with visitors and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere inside the grand marquee.

As well as the artworks on display, Recovered Futures truly has something for everyone – badge-making, colouring-in, coffee, snacks, an outdoor relaxation zone and interactive activities.

Support and kick start the conversation around mental health by attending this year's Recovered Futures Art Exhibition, and have the chance to purchase some one-of-a-kind pieces from Queensland-based artists while you're there!

Need to know - all artwork is for sale with 85 per cent of proceeds straight back in the pocket of artists. Plan your visit now for 3-8 October.
