Museum of Brisbane is bursting with fun, creativity and discovery these Spring School Holidays, with a line-up of free and low-cost activities for the whole family from September 20 to October 6.

From dazzling dance workshops and crafty studios to hands-on making sessions and behind-the-scenes tours, Museum of Brisbane is the ultimate city destination for young explorers, teens and families.

The-People’s-Dancefloor-Dance-Workshops

The People's Dance Floor Workshops - 20 Sep - 6 Oct 10.30am, 11.30am + 12:30pm | Free | All ages

Drop in and dance with Common People Dance Project. Learn easy, joyful moves to iconic anthems, no bookings or experience required.

People's Dancefloor

King George Square Showdown - 27 Sep 4pm | Free (Register to participate) | All ages

Cheer on or join the ultimate North, South, East and West dance battle led by Artist in Residence Neridah Waters. Glitter encouraged, good vibes guaranteed.

Make-a-Camera-Obscura

Make a Camera Obscura (Teens Workshop) - 24 Sep + 1 Oct  2pm–3:30pm | $25 + booking fee | Ages 8–15

Turn a cardboard box into a working camera obscura and decorate it to take home. A hands-on workshop blending science, art and creativity. Bookings are essential.

Bag-Bead-Studio

Bag Bead Studio - 20 Sep– 6 Oct 10:30am–1:30pm | $5 | All ages

Design and create your own beaded bag charm inspired by the intricate bags in Precious.

Precious-Young-Explorers-Tour

An exclusive before-hours tour of Museum of Brisbane’s Precious exhibition, with games, artefacts, and a chance to craft a special creation to take home.

Micro-Museum

Micro Museum  - Daily | Free | All ages

Micro Museum invites the young and young at heart to realise their big ideas with tiny objects in a permanent immersive and interactive space inspired by the Precious exhibition of collected treasures.
