Kim Gordon, best known as the bassist, guitarist, and vocalist of alternative rock band Sonic Youth, performs her new album The Collective live for the first time with her band at Brisbane Powerhouse.

A sensation of the contemporary classical streaming world, Joep Beving returns to his solo piano roots for a collaborative project with audio-visual artists Boris Acket, Merijn Versnel and Roxanne Percobic, built around Beving’s latest album Hermetism; with support from Australian composer and trumpeter Peter Knight and clarinetist, composer and sound artist Aviva Endean.

To capture the breadth and depth of the musical career of Japanese composer and recording artist Ryuichi Sakamoto seems impossible, but somehow Ryuichi Sakamoto: Opus almost accomplishes this herculean challenge. The documentary of Sakamoto’s final performance before his death from cancer last year will screen at the Dendy Powerhouse Outdoor Cinema for one-night-only.
