Putzig Cafe, situated on the edge of Wilston on Newmarket Road, brings a blend of family warmth and German-inspired culinary treasures to the Brisbane scene.
With its cosy yet airy interior, adorned with Queensland charm, Putzig offers a welcoming ambience for guests to savour a delectable array of cakes, tarts, and slices.
Owned and operated by Lollo Beck, along with her children Ocean and Sahara, the cafe is a charming haven for brunch lovers and cake connoisseurs alike.
Drawing from Lollo's renowned expertise honed at the beloved Peregian Beach institution, Baked Poetry Cafe, patrons can indulge in a rotating selection of delectable treats, each bearing the hallmark of traditional European recipes passed down through generations.
From classic Black Forest cake to delicate pear frangipani tartlets, there's something to satisfy every sweet craving. The Himbeer Streusel a.k.a. Rasberry Crumble or the Bayrischer Apfelkuchen, Bavarian Apple Tart are a must.
Beyond the tempting desserts, Putzig's brunch menu boasts an enticing array of light breakfast staples, such as the avocado on rye, feta, relish and balsamic, or brie, tomato, spinach and chilli mayo croissant.
From 10.30am, lunch-style dishes are available, including burgers (beef, BLAT, halloumi, beef and parmesan or brie) and Frankfurters with potato salad, sauerkraut, gherkin and mustard.
Whether it's a leisurely coffee catch-up or a relaxed lunch date, Putzig Cafe promises a memorable culinary journey infused with familial warmth and culinary excellence.
