Dello Mano Chocolate Brownies

Teneriffe

DELLO MANO HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED IN TENERIFFE/FORTITUDE VALLEY BUT CAN STILL BE FOUND IN BRISBANE CBD IN THE HISTORIC TATTERSALL'S ARCADE AND SOON TO BE AT NEW FARM'S MERTHYR VILLAGE.

On a corner in the back streets of the Valley some colourful cushioned paint drums on the pavement and a Dello Mano sign are the key to chocolate brownie heaven's red-framed door. For inside this glamorous little store are no ordinary brownies but rather those of the one-hundred-things-to eat-before-you-die variety.

What makes them special is the combination of fine Belgian chocolate with the home-made touch, in signature flavours such as classic Belgian, coconut and lime, espresso walnut, ginger and orange or honey caramelised macadamia.

While brownies are the house specialty other indulgences include truffles, cookies and fudge, all of which come in the distinctive Dello Mano gift boxes.

And after years operating out of a hole-in-the-wall in Breakfast Creek shop the brownies finally have a fitting home here in this parlour complete with book nook, Parisian café chairs and coffee window.
