World Science Festival Brisbane returns for 10 days from Friday 21 March to Sunday 30 March, celebrating its 10th anniversary. There are over 200 ways to experience this epic festival, where brilliant minds from around the world will tackle today’s biggest scientific questions.

Are Old Ways the New Ways WSF

Commemorating 100 years since the initial development of quantum mechanics, this year’s festival embraces the theme of Infinite Awe with programming responding to questions larger than our humanity and tackling some of the pressing questions of our time, including First Nations knowledges, space exploration and the future of quantum.

Fish Lane WSF

Taking place at iconic venues across the city, including Queensland Museum, the Cultural Precinct, South Bank Piazza, Fish Lane, and throughout Greater Brisbane, the festival will showcase some of the most brilliant minds in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Ipswich Community Day WSF

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the festival will also include special programming at Queensland Museum Rail Workshops in North Ipswich, with the opening weekend featuring a two-day Robots and Rocketry event, including the return of Robowars.

Second Quantum Revolution WSF

Brian Greene: The Search for Quantum Reality - World Science Festival Co-Founder Professor Brian Greene will return for this Australian exclusive event on Thursday, 27 March. Greene, renowned for his groundbreaking work in superstring theory, will take audiences on a journey to unravel the mysteries of quantum physics.

Awe Experiment WSF

Quantum Australia’s Quantum Conference - Australia’s premier event dedicated to the cutting-edge field of quantum science. The conference will bring together world-leading quantum researchers, businesses, government decision-makers, startups, and big tech to share the latest developments and ideas in this rapidly evolving field.

David Sinclair WSF
