Museum of Brisbane has a exciting line-up of FREE and low-cost school holiday activities for little art lovers, on each day from Saturday 22 June to Sunday 7 July, including collage, crochet, and clock tower tours.

Make a Botanical Wall Hanging, 22 June-7 July, 10am-1pm, Cost $5

Drop into the Dome Gallery during the school holidays to create a wild wall hanging inspired by MoB's Artist in Residence Chantal Fraser. Check out the bright and colourful creations that make up Chantal’s Speciate collage, before cutting, pasting and crafting your own hybrid creature to take home.

Cosy Crochet Club, 22 June-7 July, 10am-1pm, Free* optional paid upgrades available for purchase 

Get cosy with MoB’s Cosy Crochet Club every day of the school holidays, inspired by Rearranged: Art of the Flower artist Millie Radovich. Drop into the studio where you’ll learn how to crochet your very own friendship bracelet out of beads and special flowers made by Millie herself. 

*Beads and crochet kits are free of charge. Additional accessories are available for $5 while stocks last.

Rearranged: Young Explorers Tour, Every Tue-Thu, 9.15am-10.15am, Cost $15*

MoB is opening its doors early just for you with the return of the Young Explorers Tour. In this fully immersive excursion, little art fans (ages 6-12 years) will go on a special tour of the Rearranged: Art of the Flower exhibition, get their hands on some real-life artworks with MoB’s special interactive touch trolley before trying their hand at making a creation to take home. 

Parents and carers can choose to tag along or sit back and relax in the Dome Gallery while they wait.
*Free for accompanying adults/carers

Teen Weavers with Millie Radovich, 26 Jun & 3 July, 2:30pm-4pm, Cost $25

Calling all crafty teens! Get hooked on the crochet craze and learn the art of crochet from master
yarn artist Millie Radovic. This two-hour workshop in the MoB studio involves Millie teaching teens
how to create a blooming beautiful crochet garland to take home.

Clock Tower Tours - Daily, every 15 minutes, 10:15am-4:45pm, Free (bookings essential) 

Discover the hidden secrets of Brisbane's heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of the iconic Clock Tower. The tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock face, and time to explore the observation platform that provides a unique perspective of  the city.  Book Clock Tower tours here.

Little Artist’s Eye Spy, Daily, 10am-5pm, Free – available upon request at Reception.

Transform your Museum visit into an exciting game of Eye Spy and discover details you might otherwise have missed. There is plenty for little eyes to spy with MoB's free activity sheet. This playful Museum experience will immerse you in all manners of local art, history and culture, encompassing five different exhibitions.
