Empire Revival – The Country Edit
Kalbar
A must-visit when exploring the Scenic Rim township of Kalbar is Empire Revival – The Country Edit, a beautiful store that is brimming with touches from yesteryear.
As the name suggests, The Country Edit is the rural sibling of well-known and much-loved antique and collectables mecca, Empire Revival, which has been a highlight of the colourful Paddington fabric for many, many years.
Owner of both, Suzy Baines is relishing in the opportunity to showcase her own style and flair across the range that’s on show at the Kalbar store.
Each piece has been personally chosen by Suzy and reflects her love and appreciation of the history and beauty of bygone eras.
Always on the lookout for signature pieces and items that have their own unique charm and character, a glance around the curated collection will take you on a tour around the country and across the globe that reflect the owner's penchant for travel.
Amidst the quirky, you’ll also find delightful homewares & soft furnishings, art by local painters, handmade cards and lovely, country-style furniture - some in original condition and some lovingly restored by talented craftsmen.
Impressive estate jewellery must-haves come and go as soon as they’re in the door, as do a tea party of perfect porcelain and vintage crockery – all headed off to their present-day forever homes.
Every time you visit, The Country Edit has new and different stock, so if you see something you like, make sure you don’t leave town without it!
Nice to know – The Country Edit will be moving to heritage-listed Wiss House just around the corner on George Street in the coming months, with some exciting activation spaces in the pipeline so watch this space!
