Noir
Paddington
Noir is a multi-level boutique wine bar in the Given Tce dining precinct of Paddington, from the folks behind Uh-Oh Spaghetti-O and Blackout Coffee.
The cosy elegant bar features an outdoor terrace, mezzanine lounge room and downstairs cellar and offers an ever-changing variety of carefully curated wines including rare drops that you won't find elsewhere.
On offer are a wide variety of wines by the glass or bottle, from leading wine regions from Australia such as King Valley & Beechworth (Vic), Eden Valley and Barossa Valley (SA) and Murrumbateman (ACT) and Coal River (Tas).
International wines are sourced from Spain (Ribiera Sacra & Valencia); Italy (Marche & Veneto) and France (Loire, Provence & Languedoc), together with champagnes from Reims (Louis-Roederer).
The food menu, which changes daily, is designed to be perfectly paired with the wines and includes nibbles such as olasagasti anchovies, sourdough, grape mustard & 40yo sherry vinegar; duck & cherry pate with cornichon & seeded crackers or fresh sourdough baguette with wattleseed culture butter and black salt.
There's also a daily selection of charcuterie (think squid ink & truffle salumi, or pork collar salumi) with accompaniments such as smoked garlic sauerkraut, guindella peppers and seeded crackers) and cheese (like soft brie, cloth matrued cheddar or Berry's Creek Oak Blue cheese) with fresh Brisbane honeycomb. fig & szechuan pepper jam, lavosh & toasted marshmallow).
Good to know - As well as wine there's also beers on tap and rotating seasonal beers & ciders by the bottle as well as a small selection of house cocktails like Noir Espresso Martini, Little Dove (tromba blanco tequila, rosemary, agave & grapefruit) or Jungle Bird (Goslings black strap rum, campari, pineapple & lime).
