Uh-Oh Spaghetti-O

Fortitude Valley

UH-OH-SPAGHETTI-OH HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Uh-Oh Spaghetti-O is an uber cool late night pasta bar in one of the Valley's oldest buildings - the stunning heritage-listed Apothecaries Hall.

From the folks behind Brisbane's funkiest cake shop. Cakes and Shit, which is located inside neighbouring Bakery Lane, at this 2-level hand-made brick spaghetti house you can drink and eat pasta until 2am.

The 1880's-built building, which was home to the Valley's first apothecary, has retained many of its original features including the old brick fireplaces, and makes a perfect place for an upstairs/downstairs drink and bite to eat, as well as a courtyard out back that opens onto Bakery Lane.

Striking Italian-themed artworks adorn the walls and upstairs is a bar leading to an original verandah, which makes the perfect spot for a drink overlooking the lane.

The concise menu would have to be one of the best budget offerings around and perfect for those late night munchies, with antipasti dishes for $5, Insalate for $10 and all pasta dishes at $15. There is also a specials board with a rotating menu of weekly specials, which are available until sold out.

Antipasti include warm heirloom bruschetta, baked focaccia, Nonna's pickles and bolognese chips, while for salads there's quinoa & broccoli slaw, watermelon & basil, green beans or witlof & apple. Meanwhile, pasta dishes include market seafood linguine, artichoke rigatoni, peroni mac & cheese, cacio e pepe or pork and veal bolognese.
