Moga Izakaya & Sushi
Rosalie
Moga Izakaya and Sushi is Rosalie Village's stunning go-to restaurant for both casual and upmarket Japanese dining. Inside, the moodily lit sushi dining room is hung with photos and decoupage vintage Japanese posters and dominated by the gleaming conveyor belt that snakes its way around a mix of timber booths and bench seating.
From the conveyor belt comes an extensive assortment of delicious ngiri, rolls, ships and hot offerings such as gyoza, okanayami and karaage, most of which are also available a la carte.
Moga is licensed so as well as soft drinks and green tea, diners can enjoy a craft Japanese beer, wine or sake with lunch or dinner, or a cocktail.
Meanwhile a la carte dining is in the courtyard and wooden garden pavilion out front and it is here that patrons can partake in the Binchotan (traditional Japanese BBQ) dishes that are a signature of this restaurant and unique to Brisbane. Binchotan is a traditional Japanese white charcoal, made from burning oak and heated to 1000 degrees in a kiln to sear meat in an odourless fashion (unlike other charcoals).
