Meek Social House

Woolloongabba

MEEK SOCIAL HOUSE HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Meek Social House is a cool coastal-inspired cocktail bar and eatery found at Woolloongabba's spiffy South City Square precinct.

A grown-up sibling for the precinct's Tuckshop Time, Meek Social House features coastal decor inspired by Orange County's Newport Beach - blonde timber furniture, wicker lampshades, and vibrant blue and white wall tiles.

Patrons can enjoy a glass of wine and tapas with friends at custom-made communal tables or sip delicious concoctions at small tables inside and al fresco with tables spilling out onto the walkway.

Meek's signature cocktails include the refreshing Pink Fizz (Gordon's pink gin, prosecco and cranberry juice) and Gin Bramble (Tanqueray gin, cranberry juice, Chambord, James Squire apple cider and botanicals), served along with classic cocktails such as espresso martinis and whisky sours.  In addition, there's craft beer on tap and a concise, predominantly Australian wine list.

While the full food menu is yet to be released, diners can get a taste of what to expect with tapas such as tempura-battered zucchini flowers stuffed with almond mouse and drizzled with honey, karaage chicken served with sweet soy and lime sauce, and spicy buffalo wings with blue cheese aioli.

Otherwise, there's a small selection of mains ranging from wild mushroom and spinach gnocchi in creamy blue cheese sauce, to scotch fillet served atop smoked potato purée and beetroot truffle butter, and sticky Asian pork belly with house made cashew butter and sautéed Asian greens
