Chouquette is an authentic French bakery and patisserie housed in a stunning historic building on a leafy street corner in the city. 

A sibling for the popular patisserie of the same name in New Farm, this second location is elegant and chic with marble and brass, exposed brick, black and white framed photographs and glass cabinets filled with French delights - croissants, baguettes, gateaux and petite treats - all crafted using traditional French methods.

Delicate desserts include classic fresh strawberry tarts and zesty lemon meringue tarts, nestled alongside scrumptious macarons, chouquettes (choux pastry puffs), chocolate eclairs, and millefeuille - caramelised puff pastry with vanilla crème, salted caramel and vanilla whipped ganache.

Of course, there are fresh, flaky croissants, as well as pain au chocolat, chausson aux pommes (apple filled pasty) and brioche.

In addition, there's savoury fare from mini quiches and sausage rolls to slow-cooked beef or chicken and leek pies. For something more substantial, there are baguettes filled with ham and cheese, salmon, cucumber and cream cheese, or mushrooms, roasted tomato, spinach and feta.
