5 Boroughs
Stones Corner
5 Boroughs bar and eatery - inspired by the cultural diversity of Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens and Staten Island - brings a taste of New York City to Stones Corner; serving ribs, burgers, beer and bourbon.
Located on Logan Road, at the entrance to Stones Corner Village, 5 Boroughs is a casual affair where customers can pull up a stool overlooking the open kitchen or dine al fresco on the covered deck; with plenty of timber tables big and small to choose from.
The top-notch menu includes burgers - including grass fed Angus beef, chicken and vege (grilled haloumi with beetroot relish and minted slaw) - baby back ribs marinated in Bulldog Bourbon sauce, fish tacos, steamed bao buns and pressed sandwiches; with sides of rustic chips, onion rings and house-made minted slaw.
Try the New York classic reuben on rye, pulled pork and slaw or The Cuban - a sandwich made famous in the 2014 film Chef - with leg ham, slow-cooked pork, double cheese, dill pickles and American mustard on freshly baked Cuban bread.
Open daily til late, bar snacks range from ginger pepper caramel chicken wings and duck and plum gyoza to beef empanadas with jalapeno peppers and adobo spiked sour cream.
Libations include craft beer on tap (like Brooklyn Lager and Stone & Wood Pacific Ale), Brookvale alcoholic ginger beer, Rekorderlig cider and bottled beer from Australia, America and beyond - Little Creatures, Budweiser, Coors, Corona and Asahi. The small wine list is predominantly Australian, spirits extensive and cocktails classic like the NYC inspired Flushing Meadows - a concoction of light rum, dark rum and orange Curacao served with a maraschino cherry.
