Creative Fusions QPAC

Led by Dr Anthony Garcia and local organisation Sounds Across Oceans, Creative Fusions features a team of experienced Queensland teaching artists and an intercultural workshop process that is designed to foster an ethos of self-expression and experimentation.

No matter what your instrument – from Chinese zither or African Djembe, to jazz guitar, classical violin, or didgeridoo – you will be able to immerse yourself in three days of music-making heaven where you will learn how to jam in groups, create new sounds and songs, and learn about other cultures and styles.

The program will culminate in a live performance on Sunday May 29 on Melbourne St Green, as part of a new music festival initiative, The Ground Beneath Us. Showcasing original compositions and fresh arrangements developed throughout the learning journey, the performance will give participants the opportunity to perform for family and friends.
