Deja Vu

Springwood

DEJA VU HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Déjà Vu is a funky café with an industrial vibe nestled on Murrajong Road in Springwood.

Inside, the compact space has been decked out with leather lounges, tables and chairs, and industrial finishes like cogs on the walls while a custom-built robot stands guard at the entrance.

Breakfast dishes include Robot toast spread with Déjà Vu’s house made cheddar cheese spread garnished with almond flakes, Factory bacon and eggs served with toast and small, garden salad, and Déjà Vu yoghurt served in a wine bottle – Greek yoghurt with fresh seasonal fruit, oatmeal and crunchy cornflakes.

The quintessential avocado on sourdough features on the menu with several different options to choose from: avocado with smoked salmon, avocado with tomato and basil pesto, and avocado with crumbled feta, sprinkled with sunflower and pumpkin seeds.

Lunch options range from gourmet sandwiches to fresh salads such as pumpkin, sundried tomato and feta, or beetroot, feta and walnut, available to eat in or grab and go.

Coffee on pour is from boutique coffee outfit Rocks Coffee on the Gold Coast. Otherwise, there are refreshing cold drinks like fruit tea (green tea infused with fresh, seasonal fruit) and cheese tea – fruit tea, green tea or oolong tea topped with delicious cream cheese foam.

Sweet treats on offer, such as ginger crunch and afghan biscuits, are provided by Grandma’s Kiwi Kitchen. Or try a slice of Déjà Vu’s homemade New York cheesecake.

Need to know – The café boasts a mezzanine level which is available for private functions. In addition, it offers office space for hire.
