Little Cove On Chambers

Waterford West

LITTLE COVE ON CHAMBERS HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Little Cove on Chambers is a bright and modern Waterford West café serving up an ever-changing array of homemade treats, all-day brunches, and hot and cold drinks.

Open seven days a week*, the café is immediately inviting, whether you choose to sit at one of the indoor or al fresco tables.

Colourful artworks by local artists adorn the walls, while the glass counter – bursting with sweet and savoury treats – adds a delightful pop of colour.

The all-day brunch menu is packed with delicious and unique dishes (why serve plain old pancakes when you can offer a caramel popcorn pancake stack?), and many items can be modified to accommodate gluten-free or vegan diets.

A must-try dish is the vegetarian tasting board (for one or two) featuring zucchini fritters with roasted tomato and crispy chickpeas, smashed avocado on sourdough, labneh, beetroot hummus, poached egg, and a homemade potato and corn croquette on baked beans. The eggs benedict served with smoked salmon and a potato and corn croquette is another popular choice.

With Greek and Ukrainian nationalities represented in the Little Cove kitchen, a distinct European influence makes its way into many of the dishes – particularly the homemade treats. Such goodies include the Greek shortbread, Paris-Brest pastries, and the deliciously sweet and flaky baklava.

Other tasty treats showcased in the glass cabinet include banana bread, sweet and savoury muffins, rosewater meringues, crepes, macaroons, pastitsio and so much more.

Drink selections include Di Bella coffee, Frankie’s cold brew coffee, over-the-top hot chocolates (think Oreo and Nutella), teas, smoothies and freshly-squeezed juices, such as The Detox. This vibrant green juice combines kale, apple, ginger, cucumber and lime, and is the perfect offsider to the more indulgent menu offerings.

Nice to know – Every item on the menu can be made to eat in or take away.

Need to know – Free parking – including disabled spots – is available in the large carpark.

*Opening hours correct at time of visiting in Aug 2018.
