Flying Trapeze Classes

Ever dreamt of running away and joining the circus? At least part of that dream can come true courtesy of Circus Arts Australia’s Flying Trapeze Classes.

Circus Arts Australia, the country’s premier provider of these types of classes, has now opened Brisbane’s first and only flying trapeze rig. You and your friends or family can have the amazing and exhilarating experience of flying through the air in an adrenalin-charged adventure knowing that you’re also completely safe.

Starting out on the low practice bar, you’ll be taught the basic trapeze positions and receive a full briefing so that when you’re ready to take that first swing strapped into your harness, you’ll have the skills and confidence to go for the knee-hang, back flip to the net and finally the catch. It’s just like being the star of your own circus!

The 10-metre high flying trapeze is suitable for everyone regardless of their experience, and it’s a great way to have fun while getting fit. The trapeze classes will operate every Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus there’ll be daily circus programs during school holidays. Parties, groups and team building events are also fabulous options.

Says Circus Arts Founder and Director, Belinda Hultgren, “We are really excited to be bringing flying trapeze to the adventurous and health-conscious people of Brisbane. We think they will respond really positively to this outdoor rig which offers an alternate approach to exercise and takes advantage of Brisbane’s amazing weather.”
