Updated: Sep 26, 2025

The Lake Parklands is an idyllic spot to enjoy nature, with plenty of picnic areas and playgrounds dotted alongside picturesque Forest Lake.

A gentle 2.5 km walking track meanders around Forest Lake, which is also a peaceful wildlife refuge. Wildlife of all kinds call Forest Lake Parklands home - from swans and turtles, to ducks and pelicans, all kinds of native animals can be found in this peaceful setting.

A highlight for families are the numerous playgrounds and thoughtfully placed seats with views across the water. There is a popular boat-themed playground located at the northern end of Forest Lake, which also has swings, slides, giant climbing web and water-cycle awareness activities. Children will spend hours pretending to steer the ship while gazing across the lake.
