Banette French Bakery
Rosalie
Banette Bakery is a little slice of France in the heart of Rosalie, crafting exquisite French pastries and gateaux, along with artisan loaves of bread.
Nestled next to Gelateria Cremona on Baroona Road, this petite patisserie bakes daily using only the best flour and butter imported from France.
Delectable treats on offer range from flaky croissants and macarons to tarts - citrus, lemon meringue, salted caramel, hazelnut praline, and passionfruit - plus little cakes like triple chocolate, and orange and chocolate domes.
In addition, there's classic French pastries such as chocolate eclairs and Paris Brest choux, as well as French opera cake, along with less traditional matcha, red bean and coconut cake.
There are a few tables out front where customers can sit and savour their treat with a cup of expertly-brewed coffee. Coffee on pour is by Noosa-based specialty coffee roasters, Clandestino Coffee, which goes down a treat with the toothsome selection of sweets on offer.
The bakery/cafe also offers grab-and-go lunch type fare including French baguettes stuffed with delicious fillings like olive tapenade, basil, goat's cheese and capsicum, and classic nicoise salads, or pick up a loaf of freshly baked sourdough to take home and enjoy with your choice of toppings.
Nice to know - All macaron flavours, from chocolate brownie and vanilla cupcake to salted caramel and pistachio, are gluten-free.
