The Corner in Wilston

Wilston

THE CORNER IN WILSTON HAS CLOSED IN 2024.

The Corner in Wilston (formerly Clementine) is a bright and breezy cafe found in the heart of Wilston Village offering all day brunch and specialty coffee.

Perched on the corner of MacGregor and Heather Streets, the light-filled Scandi-style cafe is furnished with white and pale timber including a wooden feature wall, with potted plants, and throw cushions scattered along the banquette seating.

The all day menu features locally-sourced, seasonal produce providing delicious foodie fare that looks as good as it tastes. Brunch stand outs include Seasonal Mushrooms served with potato rosti, puffed wild rice, leek, pesto and perfectly poached eggs, and Berry Hotcake  - ricotta hotcake with fresh berries, berry gelato, and raspberry caramel.

Otherwise, there's classic eggs on toast, Brioche Benny (poached eggs, streaky bacon and herbed hollandaise) and Fraser Island spanner crab omelette with fermented chilli and grilled sourdough.

Meanwhile, lunch-type offerings include Salmon and Rye bagel with whipped dill dressing and poached eggs, or Beef Cheek Ragu with fresh pappardelle pasta and sheep's milk pecorino.

Clementine Cafe, Wilston

Coffee on pour is locally-roasted by Gold Coast based Common Coffee, the perfect accompaniment to a house-made sweet treat such as hazelnut and orange cake, raspberry frangipane tart or caramel slice, or authentic French croissant with dough flown in from France.

Besides coffee, there's Origin Tea, hot chocolate, sticky chai, kombucha, and house-pressed juices. Clementine's is also licensed so you can enjoy a craft beer, cider or cheeky glass of wine with brunch. The carefully curated, wine list is predominantly Australian with the addition of a nice French rosé

The Corner in Wilston is kid friendly offering toast or crumpet with spread, egg on toast, and strawberry pancake with vanilla bean gelato

Nice to know - The cafe is dog friendly with covered seating provided on the footpath.
