The Queensland Choir are set to perform Will Todd's Mass in Blue at the beautiful, heritage-listed Old Museum on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

The Old Museum

This unmissable concert includes a program of cool choral jazz accompanied by a jazz quartet, featuring Todd's Mass in Blue.

Will Todd's Mass in Blue is a synthesis of two contrasting forms. It combines the pathos of a Latin Mass (a compositional form which dates back to the 7th century) with African American blues music (a style which developed in the latter half of the 19th century and heavily influenced jazz and rock 'n roll).

The result of this combination is a work which oozes with cool, syncopated, bluesy rhythms and melodies.

Don't miss the chance to hear the Queensland Choir sing Will Todd's Mass in Blue in July. It's a concert not to be missed!

Tickets are now on sale and priced from $20 to $60.
