King Tiki

California Lane

KING TIKI HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

King Tiki is a quaint retro tiki bar that opens onto California Lane from the rear of the barber shop it shares in Brunswick St Fortitude Valley.

Take a seat on one of the palm-patterned cane patio lounges in the laneway or inside on a stool at the thatched bar, behind which the owner whips up her magic potion cocktails.

The signature cocktails at King Tiki bar are based on original recipes, such as Trader Vics Mai Tai (circa 1966) and the not-for-the-faint-hearted Donn Beach’s Zombie (circa 1934), which os made from the original 3 rums and includes a dose of absinthe.  In fact it is so potent the Tiki Bar has a limit of 2 per person!

There is also the Pain Killer (simple yet exotic) with Pusser’s Rum, a Pina Colada and a Passion Mojito.

Meanwhile, to eat there are charcuteries and cheese boards* otherwise patrons are welcome to BYO food from other laneway outlets.

Nice to know – By day King Tiki is a fully licensed barber shop out front on the Brunswick St side.

*Coming later in December.
