Jacu Espresso

Norman Park

JACU ESPRESSO HAS CLOSED IN 2021.

Jacu Espresso is a cosy cafe located on the corner of Crown Street and Bennetts Road in Norman Park.

This corner cafe, owned by Tom Abbott barista extraordinaire (formerly at Stomp) and Greg Pocock (owner of Stomp), serves carefully brewed coffee using fresh milk from a local dairy in the Scenic Rim, alongside a selection of specialty teas like marigold earl grey and prana malabar chai.

There's a small but growing breakfast menu while an assortment of sweet treats are available to compliment your coffee including sticky date pudding, vanilla bean cheesecake and chocolate mud cake.

The mix and match furnishings include a fabulous 'Friends' style lounge at the rear of the cafe, recycled timber tables and an eclectic collection of stools and seats. Patrons can opt to sit inside or outside on the small deck or astro-turfed footpath.

Nice to know: the cafe is named after the Jacu bird, a South American herbivore with great taste in coffee. The Jacu picks, eats and expels only the highest quality cherries. The pre-processed coffee beans are then dried, cleaned and sold among the most exclusive beans in the world.
