Camerata, Lou Bennett & Lior: Ngapa William Cooper
Concert Hall, QPAC
Camerata - Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra and leading Australian singer/songwriter Lior return to QPAC's Concert Hall stage on Saturday, September 7, with Camerata, Lou Bennett & Lior: Ngapa William Cooper, as part of Brisbane Festival.
Ngapa William Cooper was born out of a rich collaboration between composer Nigel Westlake, Lior, and Yorta Yorta Dja Dja Wurrung performer, composer and academic, Dr Lou Bennett AM.
In a heartfelt performance, this moving new work will tell the extraordinarily powerful story of Yorta Yorta man, Uncle William Cooper.
Don’t miss this very special, completely unconducted, world premiere arrangement for chamber orchestra.
In the first half, audiences will also be treated to a selection of Lior and Lou’s beautiful songs especially arranged for string orchestra.
As always, concert-goers can join Camerata in the foyer after the show to meet the musicians and have a chat.
Tickets from $69*. Transaction fees apply. Discount available for Students, Children, Under 35s and Families.
