BANOI HAS CLOSED AND BEEN REPLACED BY XIN CHAO.
Banoi brings three generations of homestyle Vietnamese recipes to Bowen Hills' happening King St precinct, a sibling for the popular Melbourne eatery of the same name.
The art deco interior is representative of its cultural yet modern vibe, which is apparent in Banoi’s delicious, bona fide dishes.

There is a large outdoor area sheltered by expansive umbrellas, ideal for a casual lunch at the restaurant. Otherwise, indoor seating is not hard to come by with booth seating, bar tables and regular dining.

The exotic menu is laden with traditional Vietnamese dishes, as well as some unique, modern meals that are highly sought after. The menu is inclusive of nibbles, rice paper rolls, steamed buns, pho, noodles, rice dishes, salads, pancakes, Banh Mi and even dessert!

Chicken curry is already a popular (and generously portioned) dish - a coconut based yellow curry with sweet potato and served with crusty, toasted bread, lemon, fresh chilli and a coleslaw salad.

Cao Lau Noodles is another signature dish, taken straight from the streets of Hoi An to the thriving King Street. It is a cold noodle dish served with thick wheat flour noodles, prawns, fresh Asian herbs, bean sprouts, sesame rice crackers, garlic soy, lime and yuzu dressing.

If you’re looking for lunch on the go, their rice paper rolls and Banh Mi are a popular choice – each featuring a range of meats such as pork, chicken and even crispy pork belly.

There is a licensed bar at Banoi, making it the perfect hotspot for a Friday afternoon beverage. There is a range of quality wine, beer, spirits, cocktails and even shots available to order. Of the non-alcoholic version, their Kumquat Lemonade is already a hit - a home brew of kumquat, orange and lemon. Vietnamese coffee and other traditional drinks can also be found on the menu.
Need to know – Limited street parking is available.
