Make Music Month 2025
Moreton Bay
City of Moreton Bay is set to turn up the volume this June with Make Music Month, a month-long celebration that will spotlight the incredible diversity of local musical talent.
Make Music Month provides a platform for local musicians to connect with their community and showcase their talents in a variety of creative ways. From live performances to workshops and jam sessions, the festival will take place across 16 of Council’s cultural venues, including libraries, museums, and galleries.
The 2025 program will feature over 70 live gigs and 160+ musicians - covering a range of genres, from country to classical, folk to funk. Notable local artists and events include:

Trichotomy: Enjoy an evening of contemporary jazz at Arana Hills Library with global trailblazers Trichotomy.

The Smashing Bumpkins: Enjoy high-energy bush dance beats with simple, easy- to-follow steps. Whether you're a professional or a beginner, you’ll be spinning, stomping, and laughing in no time.

Vixens of Fall: This country-pop trio, known for their debut album Magick in the Chaos, which topped the iTunes Country Chart, will bring their anthemic tunes to Moreton Bay audiences.

Mini music festivals: Enjoy free mini music festivals at Redcliffe, North Lakes and Caboolture. Join music-making workshops and catch live performances across a wide range of styles. All ages welcome.

Shugorei: Celebrate Make Music Day at Caboolture Library with a pop-up performance by percussion–electronic duo Shugorei. Have a go on the People’s Vibraphone while you're there!

Music Trivia - Hosted by Drag King Will Turn-Her, enjoy a trivia night like no other. Pride Month and Make Music Month collide with a bang of nostalgia, good beats and fabulous style!

Music Studio 60: Join Music Studio 60 at Redcliffe Library for a Thursday jam session. Several performers will entertain you in a set of music curated by founder Hayley.
Throughout June, the Live Music Trail will feature surprise pop-up performances across Moreton Bay, bringing spontaneous music to unexpected places. Get hands-on with the People’s Instruments—pop-up pianos, marimbas, and vibraphones—available for public use. The event will also host interactive workshops in ukulele, bucket drumming, and digital music-making, offering a chance to learn new skills and experiment with sound - no matter your age or ability.
