Elastic Hearts, a genre-defying dance experience featuring the music of global pop icon Sia and reimagined with cinematic power by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, is set to make its world premiere at HOTA from November 6-8.

The visually stunning production, choreographed and directed by Garry Stewart, is a bold fusion of contemporary ballet and the chart-topping music of pop icon Sia.

Raw, radiant, and unrelentingly human, Elastic Hearts is a visually arresting production, that will take audiences on a sensory journey through nature, creativity and resilience. At its centre is the commanding figure of ‘Gaia’, a matriarchal spirit invoking the cycles of life in a performance that is both intimate and epic.

The first of three music-led world premieres exclusive to the Gold Coast, which are forged by a bold new partnership between Queensland Ballet and HOTA, Elastic Hearts signals a powerful new era for contemporary performance on the Gold Coast.
