GATHAA First Nations Markets family fun day kicks off on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at State Library of Queensland, offering an unforgettable day of cultural celebration and community connection.
This event has something for everyone, with an incredible line up of activities designed to engage, educate and entertain.
We all love a market, and the First Nations markets will feature a fantastic array of treasures including unique handcrafted goods.
There will also be live performances, traditional Indigenous games, bushfood yarns, and immersive arts workshops.

- Stomp, sing and dance with Aunty Sharron
- Bushtucker Yarn with Aunty Dale Chapman, My Dilly Bag
- Artisan markets
- Food trucks serving up delicious bushfood
- Bushfood Cooking on fire with Chris Jordan, Three Little Birds and Aunty Dale Chapman, My Dilly Bag
- Jarjums (kids) arts activities
- Traditional Indigenous games
