Rainbow Beach

Ultimate Camping

Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping takes the stress out of camping, providing everything needed for a relaxing holiday at the beach - including the kitchen sink, complete with running water.

Just north of Noosa and a ten minute drive north of Rainbow Beach, campsites are located in the Inskip Peninsula Protected Area and provide stunning views of World Heritage-listed Fraser Island.

Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping

Arrive to find a well-equipped and spacious campsite already set up. Just bring clothes, food and drink and let the holiday begin. Tents are set up, complete with real beds (no air mattresses on the floor here), storage space, lights and a cosy floor rug. Linen can be hired or BYO. Camping with children and camping with dogs has never been so easy.

Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping

A well-equipped kitchen/dining area is set up adjacent to the tent and boasts a two-burner camp stove, gas BBQ, large ice box (with complimentary first bag of ice), tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, wine bucket, coffee plunger, camp toaster and kettle. A utensil kit contains everything needed to prepare and cook meals - from egg rings to can opener.

Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping

Both open and enclosed storage space is available for storing food items and any extra gear. A generous supply of water is provided which can be used for drinking, washing up and hand washing. A dishwashing pack is also supplied and includes tea towels, sponge, scourer, dishwashing liquid and garbage bags. Mossie coils are also provided, but do pack personal insect repellent. Campers will need to bring oil and condiments, along with all food and drinks.

Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping

Camping chairs for beach use can also be found in the kitchen tent, along with a hammock that just screams relaxation. BYO fishing gear or hire it from Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping. Tailor, whiting, bream, dart, Spanish mackerel, golden trevally and queen fish are amongst the many varieties of fish that anglers can land here - in fact, 48 species of fish have been caught locally.

Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping

Birdlife is also abundant at Inskip with kookaburras, finches, pheasants and pigeons regular visitors to the campsites. Dolphins frequent these waters and it's not unusual to see them in quite close, particularly late in the afternoon. Although not a common occurrence, a whale and her calf have been seen from the beach recently.

Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping

And what's a camping holiday without a campfire? Campfires can be lit here and firewood can be purchased from Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping or several other outlets in the area.

For campers' convenience, the "Ice Truck" services the camping area daily (twice each day in peak periods) and sells ice, firewood, bread, milk, newspapers, ice creams, cold drinks and bait. And great news for coffee lovers - a coffee truck will soon be operating, making it possible to get that daily caffeine fix.

At the end of a hard day fishing, swimming, playing beach cricket or footy, beach driving and generally chilling, it's good to know a hot shower is absolutely do-able. Each campsite has its own private shower and toilet set-up - something of a luxury for campers. Toilets are maintained daily by Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping. Whilst toilet paper is supplied, visitors will need to pack personal toiletries.

Should guests or visitors have any queries or need help, owner of Rainbow Beach Ultimate Camping, Rachel Croker, is available 24/7. Rachel greets campers warmly, does a great job setting up a truly comfortable and well-equipped campsite and nothing is too much trouble. Campsites for up to 25 people can be set up, with various configurations - campers can discuss their particular needs with Rachel. Additional upgrades are available at extra cost - see the website or enquire with Rachel.

In a nutshell - This really is a fabulous way to enjoy a camping holiday. Perfect for newbies, those wanting a taste of camping or campers who just want to leave all the gear at home and turn up to enjoy a stress free break. It's all waiting here - great location, beautiful views and a set up that leaves holiday makers wanting for nothing. This is a great way to experience camping with the family.

Nice to know - Dog lovers will be happy to know that fur kids are welcome, but must be kept on leash. Finding great dog-friendly accommodation is becoming much more common now, which is great.

Need to know - Permits are required for some stretches of the beach and can be purchased at Rainbow Beach - enquire before setting off.The beach is busy with 4X4 traffic, particularly in peak seasons. Care needs to be taken, speed limits adhered too and children supervised at all times.
