Orana

Built on the site of the 1860’s villa Cooltique - which in its hey day was a centre of Brisbane’s social set comings and goings until largely destroyed by a fire - Orana encompasses, at its rear, part of the old house.

As a grand home of prominence on Gladstone Rd, it is a fine example of a stylish upper middle class turn of the century villa, with its chief features being the turreted rotunda and its decorative cast iron balustrading.
