WOLSTON FARMHOUSE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE.

Wolston Farmhouse is the oldest surviving residential farmhouse in the Brisbane region and is ideally located on a property fronting onto the Brisbane River at Wacol.

This historic house-museum dates back to 1852 and is now administered by the National Trust of Queensland.

Wolston Farmhouse

The heritage-listed homestead consists of six rooms, with each room displaying nineteenth century farming life with many authentic artefacts such as horsehair mattresses in the bedrooms, sausage stuffers in the kitchen, silverware in the dining room and a pianola in the parlour.

Wolston Farmhouse

There are spacious verandahs surrounding the homestead with relaxing cane chairs from which to appreciate the surrounding views. Families may be interested to try some of 'old fashioned' entertainment on offer within the grounds such as croquet, sack races or jack straws.

Wolston Farmhouse

In a nutshell - Heritage house and property located beside the Brisbane River, offering a unique glimpse into the life of our colonial pioneers.

Need to know - There is a car park onsite at Wolston House.
