Brooki Bakehouse
Fortitude Valley
New York meets Paris at Brisbane's chic cakery, Brooki Bakehouse, housed on the ground floor of Fortitude Valley's historic Stewart & Hemmant building.
A sibling for Launceston's dessert institution, Charlie's Dessert House, owner Brooke Saward has swapped Tassie's cool climate for Queensland's sunshine and warmer weather.
Nestled at the base of the heritage-listed building, the boutique bakery boasts an understated elegance with marble bench tops, brass fixtures and globe pendant lights.
The bakehouse specialises in chunky cookies, melt-in-your-mouth macarons, fudgey brownies and delectable cupcakes with buttercream frosting in a variety of flavours, from Chocolate Raspberry and Salted Caramel, to Cookies n Cream, Cotton Candy and Lemon Meringue to name a few.
Likewise, macarons are available in an array of flavours like Hazelnut, Milk Chocolate, Strawberries and Cream, Coffee, Blueberry, Banoffee, Cherry Ripe, Creme Brûlée, Pina Colada, Lavender Honey and many more.
Brooki also creates four-layered celebration cakes with more than a dozen flavours on offer, including Chocolate Lovers, Lemon Wildberry, Vanilla Sprinkles and Salted Caramel. You can order custom-made cakes, as well as macarons, cookies and cupcakes online.
To accompany your sweet treat, there's locally roasted coffee by Archer Specialty Coffee, hot chocolate, chai and matcha lattes.
