Carseldine Markets
Carseldine
The Carseldine Farmers and Artisan Markets sees the former QUT campus on the corner of Beams and Dorville Roads transformed into a charming weekend mecca for market goers.
Held every Saturday morning from 6am 'til noon, this foodie hot spot features farm-fresh fruit and veggies from local producers and gourmet goods like raw honey, handmade chocolates, gourmet brownies and artisan breads.
Attracting some of Brisbane's most popular stall holders - The Bagel Boys, Goat Pie Guy, Popcorn Man and Nom Nom to name a few - the food court is fantastic. Eat your way around the world with Belgium waffles, French crepes or German pastries and pretzels for breakfast and Greek, Vietnamese or Filipino food for lunch; while refreshments include freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade ginger beer, iced teas and of course, hot coffee.
You'll also find herb boxes, beautiful blooms, gorgeous jewellery, recycled furniture, fashion, new and vintage vinyl alongside art and crafts.
But, it's the character that sets this country-style market apart from others: white picket fences, quirky signs scattered around the campus, vintage seats in the food court and plenty of rest areas complete with deck chairs, umbrellas and flamingos.
Fun for everyone, entertainment includes live music, jumping castle and face painting. Even four-legged family members are welcome with a water bowl ready and waiting and there's even a stall selling delicious doggy treats and cute coats.
