Stalks & Stems

Woolloongabba

Last updated: Jan 17, 2022

Stalks and Stems is an absolute treasure trove of flowers and gifts found in a quaint historic shop in Woolloongabba.

Here you’ll find what would have to be Brisbane’s most stunning, unique and creative bouquets and floral arrangements, with Stalks and Stems supplying some of the top hotels around town. While peddling beautiful blooms is a mainstay of the business, the gorgeous artisan gifts that fill the shop also make it a destination worth visiting.

Fashioned mostly from earthy raw materials – wood, stone and leather, just about everything in the shop is upcycled, recycled or carved from nature, with the majority sourced from talented artists and craftspeople locally and Australia wide.

Gifts on shelves

Home gifts include beautiful lamps for all rooms, beaker vases, old leatherbound books converted to pot plants, soy wax candles and creative green touches for small spaces such as terrariums, old boots turned into pot plants, tiny plants in suspended light bulbs and raw timber planter boxes.

Looking for something personal and unique? There’s fragrant handmade soaps, picnic blankets, teas in bamboo green or pomegranate and currant flavours, herb-based hand wash, bath salts, slate photo frames, carved wood and Lego earrings, beaten silver bangles, hip flasks, cuff links, manicure sets and rustic leather wallets.

Handmade soaps and candles on display

For the little folk Stalks and Stems stock wooden 3D puzzle sets and magic sands and chocolate soap and for baby gifts, cute Hand and Feet Casts and Inkless foot print pads.

Need to know – If flowers are needed for a Sunday or special occasion it is recommended that you book ahead.
