Bell Shakespeare returns to Brisbane Powerhouse with Romeo & Juliet on Friday, October 17 & Saturday, October 18, marking the company's first performance at the venue in 14 years.

The critically acclaimed production, originally staged in 2023 and directed by Artistic Director Peter Evans, gives audiences a closer look at arguably Shakespeare's most famous play, delving into the intensity and the heartbreak of this evocative tragedy.

Romeo & Juliet

Dynamic newcomers Madeline Li and Ryan Hodson star as the star-crossed lovers, whose chance meeting under an enchanting starry sky sets them on a dangerous path. Their forbidden love will see them risk everything to escape the unending, violent feud between their families.

"A joy from start to tear-stained finish." ★★★★Time Out Melbourne

Need to know - Age recommendation is 12+, with content warnings for adult themes, coarse language, sexual references, drug references, and simulated violence.
