Kor-Dak
West End
Kor-Dak is an authentic slice of South Korea in West End, offering an array of tasty and traditional Korean street food.
Family owned and operated, Kor-Dak originally launched in March 2023 at the Jan Powers Markets, Brisbane Powerhouse, before settling into their first brick and mortar shop on the corner of Victoria Street and Montague Road, West End (where Pietown was).
Offering an authentic Korean vibe, the vibrant red and gold eatery specialises in street food, like the tasty treats found at Seoul's famous Gwangjang Market.
Kor-Dak's must-try signature dish is Dakkochi - jumbo, grilled chicken skewers that come in a variety of flavours, from sweet chilli and mayo to Cheese Bomb and Bui Dak (crazy spicy).
If you like a bit of spice, there's traditional Tteokbokki (chewy rice cakes in spicy sauce) or you can opt for a milder, creamy carbonara sauce.
Other popular street food snacks on the menu include Korean-style corn dogs, crispy kimchi dumplings (Mandu), and Korean fried chicken coated in finger-lickin' good garlic soy or sticky sweet chilli. Rounding out the menu are kimbap (Korean-style sushi), fish cake sticks in broth, and bibimbap with bulgogi beef or veggies.
There's a range of cold drinks on offer including Korean soft drinks. Customers can dine-in with a handful of tables provided inside the cute and colourful space, as well as outside undercover, or take-away to enjoy at home while watching your favourite K-drama.
