Ippin Japanese Dining is a stunning fine diner taking Japanese cuisine to the next level in the upstairs Southern Pavilion at West Village in West End.
By renowned Sydney restaurateur Kenny Lee, Ippin Japanese Dining occupies an architecturally designed glass and timber dining space with views over lush tropical treetops and rooftops.
The food served at Ippin is as exquisite as the decor, with a delectable eleven course degustation menu featuring the best of local produce and beautifully presented.
Diners can partake in dainty morsels such as Blue-fin Tuna Toro-taku served with sea urchin and caviar; Barramundi wasabi leaf san boy chow; and Wagyu Tartare (crispy potato nest, anchovies, oyster & chilli mustard).
Next there's Bonito (turnip, citrus and kelp dashi in bonito); Sushi and Sashimi (bass grouper sashimi roll with steamed monkfish liver sauce; Mackeral ginger roll; and Chef's selection of ngiri sushi.
Further courses include the likes of Chawanmushi (snow crab & crab butter, gingko nuts, chicken & sushi rice);Tempura Moreton Bay Bug (popcorn Moreton Bay Bug & lemon aioli sauce); Truffle Savoy Cabbage (oven-baked cabbage & truffle ponzu) and Chazuke (mixed sashimi, salmon roe, dashi broth).
