Perspective Dining

Fortitude Valley

Perspective Dining is a unique and intimate gastronomic tasting menu experience, helmed by esteemed Australian chef Andrew McCrea and located in the base of the landmark heritage-listed TC Beirne Building in Fortitude Valley.

Within the closed-door 12-seat chef table dining space, diners are taken on a unique culinary adventure that is Michelin restaurant standard, with cutting-edge tasting menus (both plant-based - 'Greener Pastures' - and protein-based - 'Swimmers and Grazers') from 5 courses to 9 courses.

Unlike other similar restaurants, here diners sit separately from the chef at their own tables, from where they can watch Andrew work his magic, like watching an artist at work in a studio. So the vibe is like being a guest at a dinner party in someone's home.

The seasonal menu is sourced from both local farmers and suppliers the restaurant's own offsite garden and can be paired with wines from the carefully curated list.

Expect to find exquisite and unique tasting dishes on the protein-based menu such as Braised Ginger Plant (pork cheek, smoked honey, green macadamia, apple & monkey apple); Local Lamb (smoked fillet, tree tomato, silver beet & lamb's ear).

And on the plant-based menu you'll find delectable choices like Beetroot Fossils (smoke beetroots, skins); Fig and Flower (smoked honey, sheep's curd, monkey apple) or Fungi and Seaweed (translucent preserve, ancient lime & yam).

The wine list features a boutique selection of Australian, French and Italian wines, while a small variety of beer, cider and non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

Good to know - Perspective Dining is open for both lunch (12-2pm) and two dinner settings (5.30-8pm; 9-11.30pm).

Need to know - There is secure, paid parking available in nearby Valley parking stations.
