Caravanserai
West End
Caravanserai, in a tiny cluster of shops perched on a cliff overlooking Highgate Hill, is a warm rustic cottage lit by colourful Turkish lights and candles, and is an enduring Brisbane favourite.
Groups can reserve the balcony on summer evenings and survey the carpet of Western twinkling lights below while inside the atmosphere is cosy.
Recommended are the meze platters piled with tasty morsels to share (serving 3-4) including the Ottoman - halloumi, chorizo, carrot dip, asparagus, baked polenta, grilled prawn skewers, tabouleh, roast cauliflower, dips and warm Turkish pide - which if ordered for 2 are almost meals within themselves.
Need to know - BYO is available with $4 corkage per person.
