Annerley To Stones Corner

Bikeway

Updated: Jan 14, 2025

Whilst this 4km return ride is low on scenery (save for the odd freeway and stormwater culvert) it is nonetheless a flat and safe pathway interspersed with a couple of inviting playgrounds and easily doable by younger children or less experienced riders. What more could a cyclist want except a decent café at the end and there’s one of those that comes highly recommended.

Essentially the ride starts at Ekibin Park South, parking at Barr St where the path begins or round the corner at Willis St and heading north towards Stones Corner. It is a fairly exposed ride, with shade largely confined to the playgrounds such as the one adjacent to Ekibin Soccer Club, but children love it, especially racing through the multi-tunnelled drains that double as echo chambers.

Once at Stones Corner, The Smug Fig is right across the street where the park ends at the junction of O’Keefe and Lincoln St. Alternatively head around into the Logan Rd precinct to the Stones Corner Hotel where decent pub food can be had from tables under the jacaranda tree.
