The Boiler Room
Brendale
If anywhere in the Aspley region and looking for a decent feed at breakfast or lunch make a beeline for The Boiler Room, a beacon of unpretentious cool tucked away in an industrial estate.
The good folk who run this slick little eatery with polished stone floor and corrugated iron counter are meticulous in their attention to detail, from the coffee served – Campos from across the way to the gourmet menu.
On the lengthy breakfast list expect to find cinnamon porridge, pancakes with layered orange berry sauce and cream cheese, home-made muesli and a bargain all day brekkie of eggs, bacon, hash brown, tomato & thick white toast for $11.50. For lunch the options revolve around a range of gourmet burgers on home-baked bread rolls, wraps, fresh salads, soup and potato wedges with a daily special thrown in.
There is also a catering menu for nearby offices and workplaces.
