Rock'n'roll Marketplace

Greenslopes

This quirky 1950’s themed food market comprising the excellent Rock'n'Roll sour dough bakery, butcher and deli/grocer occupies a giant tin shed on one of Brisbane’s longest thoroughfares.

Whilst not exactly worth pootling across town for, take the detour if in the area to check it out, pick up some decent bread or for a food shopping experience that’s not run-of-the-mill.

In the sizable deli/ fruit and vege market customers get to choose a complimentary song on the original Wurlitzer jukebox whilst browsing the uncommon variety of produce on offer - fresh horseradish, galangal and turmeric roots, wood ear and chestnut mushrooms, curry leaves and thai basil and eggplant to name a few.

Olive oil is dispensed from a large barrel and Italian blown glass bottles can be bought to fill up while hard-to-find brands such as Spirit House ice-cream and cane cola are amongst the other boutique goodies to be found on sale.
