Time and Temp
Albion

Hidden behind a roller door on Albion's Sandgate Road, Time & Temp is a beautiful tiny artisan bakery and coffee bar that’s worth getting up early for.
This neighbourhood gem serves a small but impeccable line-up of pastries baked fresh on site, think flaky almond croissants, glossy pain au chocolat, and cult-favourite cardamom buns, alongside creative tarts and danishes inspired by the seasons.

Inside, Time & Temp keeps things pared-back and simple, with warm timber accents, clean lines, and a calm, open layout that lets the pastries take centre stage. A few seats scattered outside invite you to slow down and savour your coffee, while the simple, uncluttered design makes the space feel welcoming without distraction.

Every pastry is baked fresh on site, using the finest locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. From the first buttery layers of a croissant to the fruit on top of a tart, each bite celebrates quality and craftsmanship. Toppings and fillings change regularly depending on what’s in season, so there’s always something new to discover.

The Rhubarb Crumble Danish is a true seasonal star. This danish pairs the delicate tang of fresh rhubarb with a rich custard centre, all nestled in buttery, flaky pastry. Finished with a golden, crunchy crumble topping, it’s the perfect mix of tart, sweet, and crisp, and it disappears fast, so early arrivals are rewarded!

Who doesn't love an almond croissant? Flaky, golden, and filled with sweet almond frangipane, this croissant is a simple joy best enjoyed with a smooth, carefully brewed coffee. The nutty richness of the pastry and the bold, aromatic notes of the coffee complement each other beautifully. It’s the kind of combination that makes a quiet morning feel a little bit special.

With a steady stream of locals popping in over the weekend and pastries flying out of the oven, Time & Temp has quickly earned its place as Albion’s go-to spot for fresh, made-from-scratch treats. There’s something about the minimalist, sunlit space that makes each pastry hit just a little bit harder.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, one bite of their flaky, buttery pastries and a sip of that expertly brewed coffee will have you planning your next weekend visit before you’ve even left.
