Hawthorne Deluxe Cinema

Hawthorne

Hawthorne Deluxe Cinema is the glamorous 21st century sibling to the historic Hawthorne Cinemas across the road.

Patrons can take their pick of watching a movie in the Hawthorne Deluxe, the cinematic equivalent of first class or in ‘economy’ at a budget price in the old world surrounds of the original 1940s cinema.

Upstairs is the luxuriantly decked out boutique cinema with leather armchairs and state of the art sound system, which seats around 64.

Downstairs is a retro style candy bar and full kitchen and bar with ‘wine and dine’ space underneath the repurposed historic Queenslander which the cinema was built around.

Available to eat are everything from Avo on Toast, Mozzarella Sticks, Southern Chicken Bites and Jalapeno Poppers to tasting Boards, Sliders, Pizza and Nachos.

Sweets-wise, there’s Classic Choc Tops, Movenpick Tubs, Double Decker Mars, Snickers or Malteser Sundaes or Salted Caramel Fudge Waffle Ice-cream.

There’s also boutique wine by the glass or bottle, craft beer and cider on tap or bottled, basic or pre-mixed spirits and Single Malt Whisky as well as coffee, tea, chai latte and a small range of soft drinks on tap.

Need to know -  Being fully licensed, this is a strictly 18yrs plus cinema (ID may be required). Drinks and food can be enjoyed in the cinema or at one of the outside dining spaces.

Nice to know – Also in the precinct is cool, Turkish restaurant Downtown Istanbul.
