Kitchen 8
Northgate
Kitchen 8 is an unlikely find in the industrial district of Northgate - an Italian-flavoured cafe dishing up excellent nosh.
A street scene from Florence adorns the back wall of the light-filled dining room, while exposed brick walls and polished cement floors are in keeping with its location. There is also a laid back outdoor seating area to cater for the local take-away crowd.
The seasonal menu includes all-day breakfast with Sicilian eggs, and Kitchen 8 Benedict among the popular options. Lunch is served from 11.30am, along the lines of New York style buffalo wings, loaded fries, hearty burgers, pizza, slow cooked beef cheek and gnocci ragu.
For sweet tooths, there are choc-chip waffles with salted caramel sauce, deconstructed chocolate brownies and Nutella donuts. Hot beverages include tea, hot chocolate and Vittoria coffee, while cold beverages include fresh juices, smoothies, milkshakes and a selection of beer (bottled and on-tap), wine, and spirits.
Pulled pork subs, meat ball subs, soft shell crab burgers and beef brisket burgers are some of the very tempting take away items.
In a Nutshell- Enjoy top quality casual dining or take away lunch in a modern, industrial-style atmosphere.
Need to know- There is a small car park located directly in front of Kitchen 8.
