Comedy Open Mic Night

Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct

Comedy Open Mic Night is a chance for aspiring comedians to see if they've got what it takes to make an audience laugh, to be held at the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct on Friday February 28, the first of three events.

Stage with microphone

The perfect opportunity for aspiring local comedians to enter the spotlight, one Comedy Open Mic Night will be held over 3 seasons, ahead of the main stage event Comedy@The Butter Factory series. For each event*, one budding comedian will be selected to perform at Comedy@The Butter Factory with professional comedians. In March, they will join international comedians Al Del Bene and Landry plus Frida DeGuise.

Jo Gowda, comedian

MC for the night is Jo Gowda, an Indian-born comedian who captivates audiences with her razor-sharp wit and playful humour.  Jo was a finalist in the esteemed RAW comedy competition in both 2019 and 2020.

Crowd laughing at comedy

So come along to cheer on a friend or enjoy a night of laughter while supporting local and emerging comedians. Whether you’re a seasoned jokester or just curious, this is your moment to shine!
