This special event, suitable for all ages, celebrates International Women’s Day by shining a light on women in STEM. Ticketholders are also invited to stay for a Q&A with Dr. Wasef after the presentation.
Explore the cultural significance of canines in ancient Egypt with Dr. Mary Hartley on Saturday May 10 from 2pm-3pm. This thought-provoking theatre talk explores the careful burial practices of dogs dating back to the Badarian culture (4000 BC), and their evolving role as sacred votive offerings.
In this journey through history, Dr. Hartley reveals patterns discovered in ancient burial sites, shedding light on the significance and complexity of the relationship between humans and their canine counterparts. Following this talk, available-to-adopt greyhounds from Love A Greyhound will be standing-by for a meet-and-greet in the Museum's Dinosaur Garden.
