Snow White

Concert Hall, QPAC

A beloved fairytale will come to life on QPAC's Concert Hall stage from January 23 to 26, 2025 with the world premiere of Ballet Theatre Queensland’s Snow White.

With new choreography by Artistic Director Clare Morehen and new music by Dr. Lucas D. Lynch, performed live by Cadenza Chamber Players and Voices of Birralee, this brand new production of a fairytale favourite promises to enchant audiences young and old.

After losing her mother at an early age, Snow White discovers that her new mother is not all who she seems to be. In her escape from the Evil Queen’s reign, Snow White soon discovers seven enchanting Pixies to help her on her journey. With many dark and twisted turns along the way, the Evil Queen makes it her mission to destroy Snow White as the rightful heir to the throne and all the joy in the kingdom.

Since 1937, Ballet Theatre Queensland has provided professionally staged performance opportunities and career pathways for promising Queensland dancers. The company prepares dancers for the professional industry by introducing them to the processes behind the production of a professional ballet, staged in a professional venue and accompanied by a live orchestra.

These unique BTQ experiences enhance and accelerate young dancers’ development, working as a complementary program in conjunction and collaboration with their regular training. BTQ’s recent productions include the highly acclaimed productions of The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake/ Graduation Ball, Coppelia and many more!
